These are benign memory resident parasitic viruses. They trace and hook INT 21h, then they write themselves to the end of EXE files that are accessed. Under some conditions, the viruses disinfect the infected files. On December 22nd, they execute themselves with a video effect, and display the following message in large red letters: I'M IMMORTAL! It is a dangerous nonmemory resident parasitic virus. It searches for .EXE files and writes itself to the end of the file. On October, 7th it erases boot sector of C: disk. This virus contains the text strings: OK open and lseek a file Not open a file read a file I/O error OK infect ! no find *.exe
LTS.271
Description LTS.271
These are dangerous nonmemory resident parasitic viruses. They search for .COM files and writes themselves to the end ("LTS.271"), or to beginning ("LTS.291") of the file. Depending on the system date these viruses display the message and reboot computer: (C)Long Tall Silver
"LTS.271" also erases the disk sectors.
