It is a dangerous nonmemory resident parasitic virus. It searches for COM files that are started with JMP NEAR opcode (E9h), then writes itself to the end of the file. This virus is nonmemory resident, but it leaves in the memory a small resident program that hooks INT 13h and writes some data to the RS232 ports, and changes the keyboard flags. The virus contains the word: IPER

It is a dangerous memory resident boot virus. It hooks INT 13h and writes itself to the MBR of the hard drive and to boot sector of the floppy disks. The virus uses not allowed program tricks and often halts the system. On December 30 the virus decrypts and displays the message: December 30th (C) By IR&MJ Compu Serve 1993
