Kwx.1458
Description Kwx.1458
It is a harmless memory resident parasitic virus. It hooks INT 21h and writes itself to the end of COM- and EXE-files that are executed. The virus infects the COMMAND.COM by using "Lehigh" virus method, and the length of the COMMAND.COM file does not grow. While installing itself memory resident the virus uses "Are you here?" INT 21h calls with AX='Kw', and the memory resident code returns 'x' in AL register. The virus contains the encrypted text string: COMMAND.COM.EXE
