This is an encrypted Chinese Word macro virus. It contains from three to five macros depending on the virus version: autonew, autoopen, autoclose, toolsmacro. It also contains empty macro:
CONAIR
The virus replicates itself when documents are created (autonew), opened (autoopen) or closed (autoopen). Depending on the current day it erases the files on the C: disk.

This is a harmless virus. It hits COM and EXE files. Depending on system date it calls INT 24h which causes corresponding DOS error message. It contains the internal text strings:
PISello tenere fuori dalla portata dei bambini.

It is not a dangerous memory resident encrypted parasitic virus. It hooks INT 21h and writes itself to the end of COM and EXE files that are executed. Depending on the current video mode and the system timer the virus manifest itself by a video "noise", it turns the screen to the video mode and displays random data. On December 30 and 31 the virus displays the message and waits for ENTER key:

On April 1st the virus seeks by hard drive heads (simulates formatting, but does not format disk) and displays the messages:
System diagnostic failure: cylinder #1 of your hard disk is cracked.
There is a peril of hard disk explosion.
Only an immediate formatting can help.
Confirm format now [Y/N]?
Wrong. Your hard disk NEEDS to be formatted.
Say GOOD BYE to all data on your hard disk !
Start formatting all
Format complete.
Peril of explosion is not over. Next several weeks be very careful:
if you will hear suspicious noise inside computer, immediately rush down
to the floor, quickly crawl to phone and call for rescue rangers (911).
Relax ! It's a joke. Your hard disk is OK.
Video signal lost. Some device causes strong interference.
Please reorient or relocate your computer or consult
experienced technician for help.
