This is an encrypted Chinese Word macro virus. It contains from three to five macros depending on the virus version: autonew, autoopen, autoclose, toolsmacro.
The virus replicates itself when documents are created (autonew), opened (autoopen) or closed (autoopen). Depending on the current day it erases the files on the C: disk. The virus inserts the command that formats the hard disk in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file.

This is a benign memory resident parasitic virus. It hooks INT 21h, and writes itself to the beginning of COM files.
It infects files that are executed. It does not manifest itself in any way.
DiskBoomer.576
Description DiskBoomer.576
It is a very dangerous nonmemory resident parasitic virus. It searches for .COM files, then writes itself to the beginning of the file. After infecting, the virus deletes the anti-virus data files ANTI-VIR.DAT and CHKLIST.MS. On the 17th of any month the virus erases data on the C: drive and displays the message:
