The virus contains two macros: AutoOpen, TheEraser. It replicates on documents opening (AutoOpen).
On the 5th of any month it erases the files:
C:Windows*.exe
C:Windows*.com
C:Windows*.sys
C:Dos*.exe
C:Dos*.com
C:Dos*.sys
C:Dos*.exe
C:*.com
C:*.sys

Then it inserts the following text into the current document:
You've just been erased!!!
- The Eraser

The virus also contains the comments:
The Eraser Word 95 Virus
designed this 17th day of April, 1998
at 10:30 in the evening
here in the country of the Philippines

These are memory resident viruses. They hook INT 9, 1Ch, and 21h, and infect COM- and EXE-files. "Bios.2048.a,b" are harmless encrypted infectors. Sometimes they beep by internal speaker. They contain the text strings:

"Bios.2048.c" is a dangerous virus. On December 28th, it erases the first logical sector of the current drive (MBR of hard drive and boot sectors of floppies). It contains the internal strings:

This is a very dangerous non-memory resident parasitic virus. It searches for COM files, then writes itself to the beginning of the file. On the 31st of any month, it erases the MBR of the hard drive. On the 22nd of any month, it decrypts and displays the following message:

This is a harmless non-memory resident parasitic virus. It searches for COM files, then writes itself to the end of the file. The virus contains the text string:
