There are memory resident dangerous parasitic viruses. They hook INT 8, 21h and write themselves to the end of COM and EXE files (except COMMAND.COM). Sometimes they delete the files. They manifest themselves by the face picture which is drawn on the screen. They also contain the text strings:
COMMAND.COM
POSSESSED! Bwa! ha! ha! ha! ha!

Description CmosDeath
It is a very dangerous memory resident boot virus. It hooks INT 13h and writes itself to the MBR of the hard drive, and boot sectors of the floppy disks. Depending on the system timer it erases the CMOS. The virus contains the text string:

Cobra.400
Description Cobra.400
This is a harmless, non-memory resident parasitic virus. It searches for COM-files, and writes itself to their beginning. It contains the internal text string "Cobra".
