It is a dangerous memory resident polymorphic parasitic virus. It hooks INT 21h and writes itself to the end of COM and EXE files that are accessed. Depending on the system date it erases the disk sectors. It contains the text string:

These are harmless memory resident parasitic virus. They hook INT 21h and write themselves to the end of COM- and EXE-files that are executed. They cure the infected files on file opening. They contain the internal text strings:

Quadratic Equation
"Quadratic.981,986" hook INT 09h also (keyboard) and sometimes display the message "Quadratic Equation" on DEL key pressing.
"Quadratic.1283" is a polymorphic virus. It contains the internal string "Quadratic Equation II".

Description Quake.518
It's a memory resident not dangerous parasitic virus. It copies itself into the interrupt vector table at the address 0011:0000 and hooks INT 21h and INT 08h. Then it checks the INT 21h calls and on the FindFirst function call this virus searches for .EXE-files and writes itself at their ends. Sometimes it 'shakes' the screen.
