Description BGU

These are not dangerous memory resident parasitic viruses. They hook INT 21h, 28h and write themselves to the end of COM and EXE files that are accessed. Some time after installation these viruses display the white-red-white flag (old Belorussian flag) and beeps with PC speaker. On old XT this beep sounds as a melody. The viruses contain the text string:

Macro.Word.DNZ

Description Macro.Word.DNZ

It is an encrypted Word macro virus. It contains ten macros:
DnZ, AutoClose, FileNew, FileExit, ToolsSpelling, EditCut, EditCopy,
FileTemplates, ToolsCustomize, ToolsMacro

"DnZ" is the main macro. When executed it infects a document or the global macros area. Other macros are Word auto-macros and functions. When executed, they call the "DnZ" macro that will spread the virus.
The virus creates the profile section (WIN.INI file):

On March 9th the virus displays the message box:

Macro.Word.Dodger

Description Macro.Word.Dodger

This is an encrypted Word macro virus. It contains two macros: AutoOpen, FileSaveAs. The virus infects the global macros area (NORMAL.DOT) on opening an infected document and writes itself to documents that are saved with new name. While infecting the NORMAL.DOT the virus beeps by the PC speaker and displays the MessageBox:
