It is a very dangerous nonmemory resident parasitic virus. It searches for COM files that begin with JMP NEAR (E9h) instruction, scans the beginning of the file for "cave" that contains constant byte, and overwrites that cave. The virus does not stores byte that fills that cave, and the infected files are not recoverable. The virus contains the text string: Virion*.COM

It is a harmless memory resident boot virus. It hooks INT 13h and writes itself to the MBR of the hard drive and boot sectors of the floppy disks. While writing to the hard drive the virus uses direct HD port access. The virus contains the ID-text: Palma5.

These are not dangerous nonmemory resident encrypted parasitic viruses. They search for .COM files, then write themselves to the end of the file. The "Pan.1000" virus leaves a memory resident program that hooks INT 8 and plays a tune.
