This is a memory resident Win95 virus which is a modification of Mutea.492 When run it installs itself in memory using debugging interrupts and intercepts file access. It does not re-infect memory. When PE files are accessed, the virus infects them by writing itself to the file header if enough space is available. This means the size of the infected file does not change. The virus may cause the infected system to emit sounds.

It's very dangerous not memory resident virus which searches for .COM-files (except COMMAND.COM) and writes itself into their beginnings. It contains the text strings: "Freew", ".. *.* *.com COMMAND.MKS_VIR.". It can overwrite the files by a small program which types "Program terminated normally" and returns to DOS.
