This is a very dangerous virus. It searches for COM files, then depending on the system timer, either writes itself to the end of the file or overwrites the file with a Trojan program that erases the hard drive MBR.
Depending on the system times, the virus displays the following message:
Virus Barón Rojo! by Xavirus Hacker (AJVM!)
It also contains the text strings:
*.COM
Barónall héroe del cuento, amo de las nubes, señor del viento
Barón: tu triste misión no apagó tu gloria
This program borned in the City of Luque, Paraguay, South America!

Macro.Word.Grunt

Description Macro.Word.Grunt

This is an encrypted virus. It contains two macros: XxGRUNTxX1 and XxGRUNTxX2. Because this virus has no auto-macros, it takes control by assigning the 'E' key to "XxGRUNT1xX1" macro, and the 'I' key to "XxGRUNTxX2" macro, i.e. when 'E' or 'I' keys are pressed, corresponding macro takes control. MS Word saves these redirections in documents, and these keys are automatically assigned with macros when Word is opening an infected document or global macros.
The virus does not manifest itself. It contains the string:

This encrypted macro virus contains four original macros that are copied with names:
Documents NORMAL.DOT
AutoClose AutoClose
AutoOpen AutoOpen
GNull Biblioteca, ArquivoModelos, FerramMacro
(or UtilMacro depend on version Word).
GArqImprimir ArquivoImprimir, ArquivoImprimirPadr o

It replicates itself on documents opening and closing (AutoOpen, AutoClose). To load its copy to the Word global macro area it writes its copy to the Word Startup directory with the GSIS.DOT name.
Starting from October 12 1997, if current document contains seven or more pages of text, the virus creates new document and writes the text to there:
GSIS will not survive !!
