It is a very dangerous memory resident parasitic virus. It hooks INT 21h and writes itself to the end of COM and EXE files that are executed. The virus has several bugs and corrupts COM files while infecting them. Depending on its counter the virus erases the CMOS, displays the messages: Welcome to Hfll. Your CMOS has been ERASED by the Carnage virus. You have 10 minutes to fix it. Pausing for a moment.
The virus then hooks INT 1Ch and in 10 minutes displays the message and halts the computer: Time is up.
The virus also contains the text strings: Carnage 1.00 Coded by the Executioner on July 6, 1996
