These are memory resident parasitic viruses. They hook INT 21h and write themselves to the beginning of COM-files that are executed. The viruses contain the text strings: "Chapa.447": ANTI "T.M.E.- VARNA",VIRUS BY MIK "Chapa.448": V.Black LoveCM "Chapa.450.a": CHAPA "Chapa.450.b": T.M.E. - VARNA "Chapa.450.c": *BY APAHC* "Chapa.566": ANTI "T.M.E.- VARNA",VIRUS BY MIK.F; "Chapa.572": 21/10/95 - "Black Love". May Autor is Mr.Loverman T.M.E - Varna. "Chapa.586": *"MG-VARNA" THE BEST SCHOOL ALL THE WORLD. BY APAHC*
All these viruses except "Chapa.450.a,c" also hook INT 13h and depending on the system timer corrupt the data that are stored on disk.

Description Caterpillar.a
This is a memory resident harmless virus. It hooks INT 1Ch, 21h and writes itself to the end of COM and EXE files. The files are infected as they are started or searched in directories by DOS functions FindFirst/Next FCB. Under some conditions a "green caterpillar" begins to creep along the screen. The Caterpillar only shows up when the following conditions are met: after the virus has infected the computer for 2 months, and has an EGA monitor or better, and runs an ANSI device driver.
