Description Companion.Inrar.333

This is a harmless, non-memory resident companion virus. It searches for RAR files, precesses internal RAR formats, looks for EXE files in there, renames a file with an .EX_ extension and adds to the archive its own copy with the name of the victim's file and .EXE extension.
The virus contains the text string:
*.rar

This is a benign memory resident parasitic virus. It hooks INT 21h, and writes itself to the end of COM and EXE files that are executed or accessed by FindFirst/Next FCB DOS functions (DIR command). On February 19, the virus hooks INT 1Ch, plays a tune and displays the following message:

Wherever,Long Live Our Friendship!
