This is a macro Word97 virus construction tool. The constructor itself is a Word97 document that contains seventeen modules:
DW97MVCK, frmStartForm, frmVirusSourceName, frmVirusBody, frmStealth,
frmRetro, frmPolymorphic, frmPayload, frmPayloadMessageBox,
frmPayloadSetPassword, frmPayloadBeep, frmPayloadExitWindows,
frmPayloadOfficeAssistant, frmPayloadChangeStatusBar,
frmPayloadChangeCaption, frmMacros, and frmMakeVirus.

When run, the constructor displays a MessageBox and the text "DW97MVCK v1.0". The constructor then asks for the virus name, output file name for the virus source, virus type, effects, headers for prints, and status bar. There are several effects available:

This is a very dangerous non-memory resident parasitic virus. It searches for .COM files, then writes itself to the end of the file. On January 19th, the virus formats the A: drive and displays the following message:
HASTA LUEGO LUKAS

On 18th of any month it displays:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAIN

Description Hate.971

It is a harmless memory resident encrypted virus. It hooks INT 21h and writes itself to the end of .COM and .EXE files except COMMAND.COM that are executed. In May is erases CMOS, and fills the screen with the string:
Klaeren Hac, Hac!

and blinks with NumLock, CapsLock and ScrollLock indicators.
