These are harmless nonmemory resident parasitic polymorphic viruses, their polymorphic engine is quite strong. They search for .COM files, then write themselves to the end of the file. Description Macro.Word.Epidem.a
This is a family of Chinese Word macro-viruses. They contain two macros: AutoExec and AutoOpen. They replicate themselves upon document opening (AutoOpen). On October 10th, this virus erases the files: "C:IO.SYS", "C:MSDOS.SYS", and "C:COMMAND.COM". On June 17th, it drops a C:MOUSE.COM file infected with the "Natas.4746" multipartite virus, and adds the command to run this file in AUTOEXEC.BAT. On April 27, the virus writes the command to format the hard drive to the AUTOEXEC.BAT file: echo y | format c:/u/V:EPIDEMIC >nul

This is a family of Chinese Word macro-viruses. They contain two macros: AutoExec and AutoOpen. They replicate themselves upon document opening (AutoOpen). On June 17, this virus drops and runs the PH33R.COM file infected with the Windows virus, "Ph33r".
