This is a dangerous, non-memory resident overwriting virus. It searches for .COM- and .EXE-files of the current directory (by using masks *.COM *.EXE) and overwrites them. The length of the infected files grows by 39 bytes. On the 8th of every month, it types the following message:
------* DeathRider Virus version 1.8 *------
(c) 1993 DeathRider - Pretoria - South Africa

and then formats HD sectors and erases CMOS memory. On other days, it types one of the following messages:
Packed File Corrupt
Sharing violation
Required system component not installed

and returns to DOS. It also contains the internal text: "ViRuZÑÑZ ".

Description Riot.IR8.1968

It is not a dangerous memory resident parasitic virus. It hooks INT 21h and writes itself to the end of COM and EXE files that are executed, or accessed with FindFirst/Next FCB DOS function (DIR command). When GetDiskSize DOS function is executed, the virus creates the IR-DEMO.COM file, and writes a program into there. Being executed that file displays the message:
THIS PROGRAM IS (C) - 1996 IMMORTAL RIOT - ALL RIGHTS RESERVED!

The virus also contains the text strings:
Immortal Riot Technologies! All Rights Reserved
Not enough memory
How can hell be any worse? COMEXEDIR Conzouler.dyno go BOMB 'em ALL!

It is a dangerous memory resident parasitic virus. While executing an infected program the virus searches for .COM files, then it writes itself to the end of the file. Then it hooks INT 1Ch, 20h, 21h, 27h, 2Fh and infects .COM files that are executed. In some cases the virus erases the disk files, displays the message:
RADiCAL_iNVADiNG_PARASiTE(RiP)-ViRUS, iN 94/95 BY AeMlSc, SAYZ Hi 2 U!

The virus also contains the text strings:
