It's a very dangerous memory resident encrypted virus which hooks INT 1Ch, 21h and infects by a standard manner .COM-files, except COMMAND.COM, that are opened or executed. On 17th of every month it overwrites the MBR by a small program which types "DEMOLITION is here!". It overwrites the files by the text:
Sorry, this file was destroyed by DEMOLITION! from THE YODAS CREW Italy

It also contains the text "DEMOLITED COMMAND.COM". Sometimes it manifests itself by the black caterpillar moving on the screen.

It is not a dangerous nonmemory resident parasitic polymorphic virus. It searches for COM and EXE files, then writes itself to the beginning of COM files (except COMMAND.COM) and to the end of EXE files. The virus deletes the anti-virus databases: SMARTCHK.CPS, CHKLIST.CPS, CHKLIST.MS.
On January 1, July 6, September 9 the virus displays the message:
This day in the year 1976,
[xx]
China, had been left us for ever.
Now, in order to express cherish the memory of this great man, let's observe
one minute's silenceall

where [xx] is:
January 1: Chou Enlai, Premier of the State Council of
July 6: Chu Te, Chief of the Standing Committee of the
National People's Congress of
September 9: Mao Tsetung, Chairman of the Communist Party of

and [yy] goes down from "60" to "00" according to seconds counter.
