This is very dangerous memory-resident virus which by standard way affects .COM-files in the current directory (as infected files are activated) or as soon as they are started (from TSR-copy of the virus). From time to time the virus changes the color of some characters on the screen. Depending on its internal counters this infector deciphers and displays the following text: "Have you ever danced with the devil under the weak light of the moon? Pray for your disk!". It contains the strings: "Drk", "*.com", hooks INT 9, 21h.

PathVir.1020

Description PathVir.1020

It is a dangerous nonmemory resident parasitic virus. It searches for COM (except COMMAND.COM) files in current directory and directories that are listed in PATH, then writes itself to the end of the file. On December 30th the virus creates (overwrites) the AUTOEXEC.BAT file on current disk and writes the commands to there:

The virus then creates the PATH-VIR.COM file and writes a program to there, being executed that program halts the computer.

Description Patoruzu Family

These are relatively harmless memory resident parasitic viruses. They hook INT 21h, and write themselves to the end (931 bytes version) or beginning (1024 bytes version) of COM files (except COMMAND.COM) that are executed.
"Patoruzu.931" is encrypted, and On the 17th of any month, it disables CreateDir DOS function.
While infecting, "Patoruzu.1024" renames a file "TOMY", then infects it, and renames it back to original name. This virus hooks INT 13h also, and sometimes tries to change the contents of the sector that are read, but it fails.
On the 17th of any month, "Patoruzu.1024"--and on November 17th, "Patoruzu.931"--display the following messages:
