The virus writes its TSR copies into the interrupt vector table at the address 0000:0200. This virus on every 256th infection of a file tries to format a disk. It hooks INT 21. These are very dangerous memory-resident viruses that infect .COM-files while writing to them (INT 21h, ah=40h). The viruses write themselves at the files beginning, not saving the previous contents. These infectors install in the DOS segment, substitute the 40h function address in the interrupt 21h functions table. They also contain the text "Darth Vader".
